H'Hen Nie surpassed Hoàng Thùy, Mâu Thủy to win the crown in the final 6/1 in Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa.
After three months of competition, 42 candidates Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 entered the decisive night. The victory belonged to H'Hen Niê - who was born in 1992 in Dak Lak.

Before coming to the contest, H'Hen Nie is a freelance model in HCMC. The Ede beauty is high 1.72 m, measured three rounds 84-60-93 cm. She is referred to as "black pearl" with healthy brown skin, toned body, short hair and catwalk full of energy.
Miss Vietnam Universe received 200 million cash, continous crown worth 2.7 billion and the right to represent Vietnam in Miss Universe. Besides the crown, she won the second prize "Beauty of the Sea".

In the finale, H'Hen Nie impressed in the answer part with Top 5. When judge Mai Phuong Thuy asked: "Social networking is a tool to help people come together faster. If you crowned tonight, What will you do to encourage people to use social networks actively? " She answered: "Social networking brings two dimensions - positive and negative, and I want to say that there are more good things to be around us that we treasure ti more, so let's limit our use of social networking to get closer each other." She believes that she will build the value from the real connection with relatives, friends in life, not on the social network. The confident, decisive answer of the beautiful girl helped her get applause from the audience.
In the Top 3, when asked about the community project planned to be carried out once coronated, H'Hen Nie shared that she will help the orphans in Bao Loc (Lam Dong) - where she lives. is the first charity event when entering the contest. In addition, she will help women and people with HIV.

In the two and a half hours finale, the contestants went through the long dresses, swimsuit (Top 15), evening gowns (Top 10), and answer (Top 5, Top 3). The night of the contest was supported by singers Duong Trieu Vu, Ho Trung Dung, Giang Hong Ngoc, Mai Tien Dung, Phuong Vy ... The finale was smooth, not dramatic.
One of the most notable faces of the night is Pham Huong - Vietnam Miss Universe 2015. She appeared on stage in a silver gown before handing over her crown to her successor. The jury included: Miss Vietnam 2008 Mai Phuong Thuy, Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza, Dr. Le Diep Linh, MC Phan Anh, photographer Samuel Hoang, designer Thuan Viet. Ms. Vo Thi Xuan Trang - Principal of John Robert Power School - as the leader of the jury. Previously, the contest also two judges are runner-up Hoang My and Miss Huong Giang. However, Hoang My stopped work and Huong Giang withdrew because of not arrange time with the new schedule of the contest.
The final round of the competition is about one month late compared initial schedule (December 2, 2017). Previously, the semi-final night took place on 4/11 last year, as soon as the storm No. 12 just swept through Khanh Hoa province. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism then decided to postpone the contest until the aftermath of Hurricane Damrey.
Miss Universe Vietnam is the national beauty contest, first held in 2008 with the victory of the beautiful Thuy Lam. After a seven-year hiatus, the contest returns in 2015, Pham Huong crowned.
